Cover Letter
Dear Hiring Manager,
I am looking – confidentially – for more challenging ways to put my expertise in deskside support and or field technician support to work for a growing company. Naturally, career searching and looking for your posting, I made writing this letter my first priority. Specifically, I would like to join your company’s team as your newest Desktop Support, Field Support or Computer Technician.
My resume gives examples of the kind of results you should expect from me. Because our field changes so quickly, most of the half dozen examples you will see there are recent ones. However, a resume format cannot show how I approach my work. I try not to vary from these guidelines.
- I must transform theory into practical, competitive results. Learning from the past isn’t enough to keep my company number one.
- I must be tenacious in solving problems. There’s no “magic” in computer system, only undiscovered information and techniques.
- I must provide capability to the users’ standards. The most powerful computer systems are crippled unless the user can operate them well.
If you as a company can use my combination of capability and professional standards, perhaps the next step is to hear about your needs firsthand. You can reach me by email or phone, if you would like to set up an interview with me in the next few days, please do so at your convenience.
Thanking you in advance.
Yours sincerely,
Kenneth Davis
